advent 7201 and dvd-rw fitted device

i have an advent 7201 fitted with an optiac dvd rw ad 7530a ata device that dosn't recogonise the device. not sure if the required drivers are available

Do you mean that the computer doesent recognise it?Have you checked device manager to make sure there are no exclamation marks on device?Have you checked the advent web site if there is a driver available?

I have tried using device manager and the message I get is the device cannot be started because its confiaration information(in the registry) is incomplete or damaged(code 190
