Movie Maker from DVD

Hi

I've recorded a dvd on my camcorder and when I connect to my laptop the computer cannot find it even though it shows as a DVD? I then copied the file to the hard drive - it shows as a VRO file

I then import into Movie Maker but only shows the file as 5.39 mins when it is much longer and I cannot get this to show correctly or split the file?

I cannot change it to MPG? How can I make this into a movie and / or covert to mpg?

Thanks

CLB

Was this dvd created on a Panasonic? There are options to save it in VR format or the normal VOB format. From my experience converting from VRO is difficult and you can lose sound or video. If you search the Internet you will find different solutions. I think that the last time that I did this I used AVS Video Converter click here but it costs money. There are other options.
