error accessing the system registry

I am trying to install Lotus Suite on my new Vistalaptop and get the error message: 'Error accessing the system registry'. What does this mean?

The annoying thing is that I have already had it installed successfully, but wanted to uninstal part of it and the whole lot disappeared.

You probably need to run the setup file as administrator. Are you installing from a CD/DVD disc?

Many thanks, Brundle. Actually it cured itself and I have now managed to reinstall successfully. Yes, it is a CD/DVD disk. I'll keep this in mind if it happens again.
