password protect zip folders in vista

Hi guys,

for the life of me, i cant find it on google anywhere, just keeps coming up with xp password protect zip folder options, but not vista.


anyone know how to do this?

You need a third party compression tool to Password Protect Zip Archives in all Windows based OS's.

You can use WinZip to compress and encrypt your zips. (It is on the DVD in issue 165). Or you can get an Integral Splash USB Memory Stick, as they have encrypt zip program on them.

You could also use ZipGenius, there is a download link in the download section (Downloads --> Compression --> ZipGenius 6 Standard Edition).

the best way is to use winsesame. this soft is very safe and there is a free version. you can protect files and folders on hard disk, external disk, usb flash disk or network and even send the protected folders by mail. the address is:
