Hi, I purchased the windows upgrade,upgrade from win xp sp3,everything goes OK until PC reboots,but just keeps trying to reboot,windows help desk were allowed to remotely access PC,but they were unable to resolve the issue ?

I suppose that is one of the drawbacks with W8 there is no safe mode to go into when you get problems.

I take it when you upgraded you took some of your files and folders with you.

Always best to do a clean install less likely to have problems.

Does it stop at the part where you have to sign in or does it crash out before that. Or do you not use a password.

no it is just when it has installed then when it reboots,it keeps trying to reboot but never actually boots

All I can think of is if you borrow a W/8 cd from someone and do a repair.

Have you checked in the Bios that it is booting from the hard drive or cd drive or can you not get into the bios either.

How old is the computer maybe a good clean up inside might help.

Back up all data/programs etc. OR make clean partition. Format drive. Load win 8 on clean drive.
