Advice on windows 8 programs

Hi all i recently uninstalled a few adobe cs5 programs from my sony vaio 64 bit windows 8 . when i use the search thing to type in for example adobe the programs i have uninstalled show up can anyone please advice what i can do to solve this. regarding my programs and features they apear to be uninstalled but still apear when i search for adobe hope someone can help thanks in advance

Maybe disable them in your Add-Ons.

Are they showing in the Metro interface even if you have uninstalled them in Programs and Features? If so you can do as Jock1e suggests by right clicking them and then on the bottom of the screen choose uninstall.
