Can't change from guest to administrator

Win 8 is playing silly buggers - now sees me as a "guest" but won't allow me to be administrator - 0x80246007 error message

Going back to XP you could go to safe mode and use the computer administrator to sign in.

If I remember right you could then set the other account as administrator.

I can't use safe mode on this or I would have given it a try. That's W/8 for you.

Should have added to get into safe mode on W/8 you have to hold down the shift button while repeatedly tapping F8 on start up.
