Jpeg image transfer from win7 to win8 problem.

A client bought a Samsung laptop through me and I installed all his users folder stuff from his old win 7 laptop. Problem is not all the jpegs can be opened. However all do open on my personal d/top. Seems the problem is win 8!!!!! Please help if you can. Regards Graham.
