printer not reconised in windows 8

have just upgraded w7 to w8 but have a couple of problems one is it does not recognise my printer Epson rx425 all in scanner will work but its pretty basic compare to in W7 will deal with this first as its important if I can't solve this will have to restore back to W78

It seems that Epson don't have any specific Win 8 drivers. Have you tried using the Win7 ones as they often work.

It might be helpull regarding the scan software but I'm not hopeful.

Incidentally sometimes the RX, SX and TX drivers are virtually the same and it might be worth trying them from a similar model number.
