windows 8 on dimension e521

Hi; this may be a dumb q, but, having run the windows update advisor I have a list of various sorts of potential problems, one was drivers for the graphics card. Which is an Amd Radeon X1300PRO. uses ATI catalyst software. in the end I talked to DEll who absolutely assured me I would not be able to run W8 on the E521. Bit hazy as to what exactly he was saying, but seems to be a lack of BIOS capacity and other issues simply due to age of PC. None of this came out in WUA. I now know the graphics software won't support the graphics card in 8, but, was the Dell guy telling the truth, he then started trying to sell me a new pC, or is it just that certain features of 8 wont work in the E521. Something I know and can live with?

I would go with Dell's recommendations that your PC won't run 8.
