W8 transfer to SSD using update version

I have just installed the update 'special offer expiring 31st Jan' version of W8 on a W7 PC's traditional spin drive. Supposing I want to put in a SSD and run W8 on that-but now only have the upgrade W8 Disc.
Can I do that in some simple way or do I have to prepare a boot disc or use Acronis for a boot image or what? And will MS acept that after 31st Jan?

Use a migration program to transfer the whole image accross. There are several around, just Google "ssd migration".
