HP simplepass replacement needed?

Hi, up until I upgraded to windows 8 I used HP Simplepass in conjunction with the fingerprint reader on my HP Pavillion.

During the upgrade process, Windows upgrade assistant said I needed to uninstall Simplepass so I'm looking for a replacement program. Does anyone have any suggestions what would be compatible?

Hi Dr Yes, thanks for the response but sadly, still no joy. I have downloaded the driver and program but note that the driver is for a Validity scanner. I'm not sure of the type mine is and windows reports it cannot find any biometric devices.

However, the program does open after asking me for my windows master password.
