Strange Key Swapping in Windows 8!

Hey everyone, I recently upgraded to Windows 8 and there is this strange bug that I'm facing. Some of the key have got swapped funnily.
For example: hashtag(shift+3) is now £ at(shift+2) is now " (shift+') is now @
I thought something was wrong with the keyboard layout even though I never even touched it. So set it to US from UK but still the same.
Then i thought, may be something to with my PC, but no even my friend is facing the same issue.
Any help would be appreciated.
PS: I have a Dell Inspiron 14R

I suspect the problem is that it was already configured to use the US layout after you upgraded. It is currently behaving as a US keyboard so set it back to UK.

Have you installed windows 8 drivers for the computer? It may not be a US/UK keyboard problem. the combinations you describe would be correct for my UK keyboard on a Samsung laptop.
