windows 8 update not working

keeps saying should connect to the internet when its already connected

clackyjock33 is this related to your post about Win8 not working on an old HP desktop or is this a different pc.

does the Win8 update give a message about not being able to connect to the internet or do you get an other error message.

You say its already connected to the internet, are you asking the question on the pc that you are trying to update, have you looked in device manager to see if there is a yellow exclamation mark next to your network card.

PS you never responded to your original post about the wrong version of Win8 being installed when people offered advice etc.
