i have windows 7 installed on my desktop pc if i install windows 8 along side it as duel boot do i need internet security installed on windows 8 i have norton internet security 2012 installed on windows 7

If this is used as Duel Boot it will become another OS, Whilst Microsoft has its own Firewall and defences. It will not be protected by your Norton installed on Win 7 Unless you choose to install it.

It is the end users who decide what and if to install, Myself I hate Norton prefering a full version of AVG which not only updates daily buy scans daily
