Downloading photos on windows 8 customer preview

I am unable to download photos from my camera to windows 8 photo gallery.

That's probably because the preview version doesn't have a driver for your camera - it's not being recognised.

Thank you for your reply. I am now able to get the photos on to the computer but they do not get downloaded into a photo page as they did with Vista and I have to manually put them into gallery one by one, even then the gallery does strange things like doubling the photo displayed, very frustrating!
