My Stone laptop loads up fine I put my password in etc, but then can't open anything and when hovering over the task bar the loading wheel appears, I have opened in safe mode and run virus checks and windows defence but fiund nothing, I am not exactly pc savvy and am at a loss as to what to do, previous forums I posted in all told me to download certain programs to run, but I can't get onto the internet, or anything else for that matter, please help.

Open Command prompt by right clicking it and run as administrator. Then type sfc /scannow on to it and press enter on the keyboard. See if that finds any problems.

Also check in device manager to see if any yellow exclamation marks.

Is all your modem or Wireless lights working. Maybe switch them off for 10 seconds and on again.

I agree with woodchip. How long did you wait for laptop to finish doing whatever it is busy with?
