My computer has for no apparent reason developed a problem where it just stops and restarts telling me that windows has shut down and to choose how to restart. This is areal problem as I lose anything unsaved. At first I thought it was something on the internet but today it suddenly stopped while playing Freecell.

Depends how old it is maybe needs a good clean inside it could be overheating and closing down.Or maybe the PSU is struggling to work properly.

Time and date has been Ok has it.

Thanks Jock'1e, Time and date are OK PC is about 3 years old and has a tetra bite hard disk, overclocked. Do you think I should get a air spray and clean it out?
This problem is irregular and PC sometimes runs for hours with no problem and next time it will stop in about 10 minutes then again shortly after Thanks for your help. JF25

I just use a paint brush and a Hoover with a plastic nozzle.

heatsink needs needs to be cleaned out and the fans cleaned.

Not sure if resetting the memory might help..
