Language icons inacessible after installation

Previous language settings default English United States. Selected and installed Greek, Spanish latin Am erica, French Canada and Russian. Click EN icon on desk top taskbar and all language icons displayed and selectable. OPne day the EN icon disappeared and languages had to be reselected. English default still works but EN icon not present when no other languages available. I went to keyboard change in control panel and reselected all the languages previously accessible. However, the icons will not appear on the desktop taskbar and the languages while displayed in the control panel, those icons can not be used to gain access to the languages they represent. What do I do?
