Hello,

My computer has suddenly lost removable media drives or their letters. Can not see any removable media location. Please advise. Thank you. Narendra.

What program are you looking for them in. "Windows Explorer"?

If so then it is sometimes set to not display removable drives unless there is a disk inserted. Look in Control Panel/Folder options and ensure that the two check boxes are ticked for: Show all Folders Automatically expand to current folder.

If this is not the problem then a bit more info would help. What kind of removable media drive are you referring to, How is it connected USB? Wher are you trying to view the drives etc.

Thank you very much for your reply. The Devices and Removable Storage, DVD and CD ROMs, were not showing up on my computer, followed your suggestions and they are Ok now, showing up. Thank you again. Narendra.

Try looking by right-clicking the "my Computer" icon then "manage" then "disk management". The driuve should appear there byut you may need to assign another drive letyter to it to make it visible.

I have had several instances of this happening.
