AVG won't uninstall from my computer

I am unable to uninstall certain programs from my computer. I had AVG antivirus free edition installed. I then purchased Norton 360. Now I get a window that states to remove conflicting AVG software. I tried to uninstall AVG but it will not uninstall from my computer. HELP!

Go to the AVG website download the appropriate uninstaller program

Or download Revo Uninstaller and use that on setting 4.
