How to stop pop up coupon adverts?

I run Windows 7 and have Norton 360 AV. I keep getting annoying pop up adverts for coupons which appear in the bottom right hand corner of my desktop. Is there any way to stop these and, if so, how?

If you use Adblock Plus it should resolve your problem. It is free and available for Firefox, Opera and Chrome. For IE Adblock is available.
