google chrome just a blank page

win 7 64 bit sp1, 1.5Tb Hd with 1.3 free, quad core 4 Gb RAM; have been using chrome for a while, recently updated to win 8, so slow, got fed up and reformatted back to factory reset using recovery partition, reinstalled chrome, now all I get is a blank blue page, I can change the title bar but the page remains blank, please help as I prefer chrome to ie, thanks

You could try uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome. Might be something on http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/chrome to help.

thanks lotvik, I have tried that; http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!mydiscussions I have located my win7 repair disc, I will give that a try and let you know what happens,

thanks for your help and advice lotvic, I have just done a factory reset, installed chrome, not only is it working but it has saved my preferences and bookmarks
