Regardless of what level of charge is left in my battery, when I hover over the battery icon in the notification tray,I get the the message "Consider replacing your battery".My laptop is an Acer 5738Z.Can anyone tell me why I am getting this message?

Found this.
Make sure to have installed SP1 on your Windows 7.
Click on the battery icon, located to the right side of your bottom system tray icons.
Untick the notification warning checkbox.
I presume that only stops the pop up warnings.
Then there is this.
Or maybe try removing the charger and the battery and holding the start button down for 30 seconds then installing the charger and the battery and see if you still get the same problem.

As this is a battery problem and not really a W/7 problem you may have got a lot more replies putting it in the helproom.
Maybe close this one and start a new one on the helproom.
