Failure in IE9 to open links

I am running IE9 with Windows 7 on a new HP630 notebook PC. In IE9 I can open the first window to whatever shop but when I press on a link to try to go further into the sites the relative window does not open. Any suggestions, please?
Thanks

Check IE is the default browser. Type Component in the search box and select component services. In the window that opens expand component services then computers and right click my computer to select properties. In the box that opens select the default properties tab, make sure Default Authentication is selected to Connect and that Default Impersonation Level is selected to Identify. Apply, ok,ok.
