retrieve msn messenger conversations

Hi Does anyone know if its possible to retrieve conversations made using MSN messenger and if so how?

I dont have messenger as an application on my desktop rather I use messenger by signing into my hotmail where there is the option to then in turn sign into messenger at the top of the screen

I never use MSN Messenger, but if it is anything like Skype, which I do use, then have a look in Messenger Settings to see if it keeps a History of conversations, similar to Skype.

Pure guesswork!
