On my new HP2065 desktop PC I have a 1500Gig hard drive. I split it into two, O S drive is 890 Gig, New volume drive is 495 Gig. HP recovery drive, and Microsoft office click to run, (protected ), Making the four drives that I am allowed. Os and N V drives are too big is there any way to split them

Personally I am not keen on lots of partitions but take a look at this article it may help you get over the limit of four primary partitions.

have split into three drives(two logical, can i install Windows 8 release preview on to a logical drive,or must it be a primary

Yes you can install Windows 8 on a logical drive.
