After upgrading my mothers pc from vista to windows 7 I have ended 8up with a very sluggish machine, the CPU graph is touching 100% all the time. I had to slow the RAM down to 667 to get 2gb extra to work. Help!

Task Manager should tell you what is using the excessive resources, i.e. 100% of CPU.
