Hi to all, I am not much of an expert, recently had had a virus, McAfee stopped the trojan doing any damage but now getting occaisional redirects on google search results, not dangerous but annoying.... I have been offered software to buy but nothing really sensible, surely there must be a relatively easy fix for this, disabling active x helped somewhat. Can anyone suggest an answer?

The problem is not with Google ... it is with the criminals that create and distribute malware ... and the problem now resides on your own computer. I don't say this to be uncompassionate ... but to educate. The responsibility is on the computer owners to be aware that it takes more than an anti-virus product to keep your system "safe."
