Labels creation with Word 2010

Having opened a Works Database I open a Word document to create labels. "Mailings" produces the Mail Merge boxes. Having selected "use existing list" I get a box containing various coding options, Western(Windows) being highlighted - the rest are different languages, e.g. Turkish, Korean etc. On selecting "Select recipients" I get a list in one of the obscure languages. I have tried various methods but am unable to get the list from my database I have consulted one or two "experts" but nobody can tell me whqat I am doing wrong. Labels used to work perfectly with Word 2007 and MSWorks
I should appreciate any advice

Thanks forthe advice but my database is MS Works - should this still work the same as Excel ? With Word 2007 I had no problem using the MS Works database

The microsoft link refers to Works Word Processor and this is the answer. It doesn't work with Word 2010 but does with Works Word Processor.

try Avery labels, http://www.avery.co.uk/avery/en_gb/Templates-%26-Software/Software/?Ns=Rank, download the free software, it will merge with word and put the avery icon on the word task bar, selecting that brings up the labels wizard, select your label and print, it's straight forward, hope this helps
