I know this was last raised here in 2009/2010, I have started to get these reboots on a regular but intermittent basis for the past 2 months, so far, always when returning to an idle machine with nothing running. I have a DEL Inspiron 580 with Windows 7 Home Premium Edition (64-bit) with Service Pack 1. Has anything been resolved for this issue in recent times please? I have read the Microsoft article 2028504 and have not attempted to associate my problem with those 3 scenarios and their so-called resolutions. I am not very technically proficient and hope there is a straightforward solution, but judging from the 2009/20010 comments doubt there is one. I noticed some victims quoted their Eventdata, so here is mine for what it may be worth. With no replies after 10 days I guess no one has an answer. I have just had another after a lapse of over one week. I will close this if no one replies soon. The bugnumber is 80 again.

Turned off the sleep function for screen and PC, and only use sleep when I want it. So far no subsequent Kernel Power errors. Maybe the problem lies with W7 and the sleep function? I am closing this thread.
