When Closing Outlook 2007, error msg saying it has stopped working

I am running W7 Pro 64-bit with Office Ultimate 2007. I have noticed over a period of time that when closing Outlook 2007, I get a Windows warning box to say Outlook has stopped working and is looking for solution.
If I then close Windows down, then it sometime asks me to confirm that I want to close Outlook down YES, and then confirm I might lose data.
I've run scanpst.exe on Outlook.pst and carried out repairs. But the problem still happens. This file is now 72 MB
Does any body have an idea about this annoyance?
