How do uninstall windows live on a Vista laptop?

I have inadvertantly installed Windows live on to my husband's Vista laptop. How can I remove it, please?. Is it G-mail that he would have been using before. He would like it back as he is having connection and signing up problems. What is the point of windows live? He certainly doesn't want a hotmail account.
Thanks for any help.

Many thanks,
before I do, could you confirm that I should still have the previous mail program still available. ie it isn't automatically uninstalled when I instal Windows Live is it? What should I be looking for?

GMail is totally separate from Live Mail so uninstalling Live Mail will not affect your ability to receive GMail. GMail is web based similar to Hotmail so to receive and send on it just go to the GMail page then sign in.
Personally I like Live Mail as it allows me to keep all my emails from the different providers all in one place, but I agree it can be a pain to set up.
