NTFS Last Question, Promise

My new Acer Aspire 7738G laptop with Windows 7 almost each time I turn it on says it has to check file type on system c, file type NTFS. This happens when it has been shut down correctly on last use. I let it do the scan but why is it doing it and can I get rid of it? This also used to happen on my last Acer, should I be concerned.

I know I have been on asking questions over and over, sorry, this is the last one. Thanks for all the advice.
