Audacity alternative for Windows 7?

Hello all...

Having ticked my earlier thread for Audacity as "resolved" for now:-

I have another question, though???

Does anyone know of an alternative to Audacity which is better than Audacity to run under Windows 7?

Are you using this other program, and how is to use compared to Audacity?

I have used Roxio Creator 2009 for some time with XP, and intend to get Roxio Creator 2010 when I install W7. Not free but I have got used to it. Wish it were available cheaper without the ohoto package as I use Photoshop.
