Aero

I am currently dual booting XP from HDD1 and full installation Win7 32bit on HDD2.
Win7 Upgrade Advisor informs me my rig doesn't support Aero!
A further check outlines MS minimum spec for Aero:
1GHz CPU 32bit (x86) - I have 2.4GHZ 32bit (x86)
1Gb of RAM - I have 2Gb matched pair 1Gb.
128Mb Graphics card - I have 2 x 256Mb DDR3 running in SLi mode. I also have DirectX 9c
Can anyone throw some light on this for me?
How do I "fire up" Aero to see if it will or won't hackle?
Uh, can't say I have really missed it - just curious ;-)

Are you still using the graphic drivers that Windows 7 installed during the initial set-up?
It could be that it didn't recognise the specific graphics card(s) you've got and stuck a generic basic driver on instead.
If that's the case, try downloading the official drivers from your card's manufacturer and see if that helps.

Thanks for the tips.
I already had the latest drivers but I have been overtaken by events ;-)
See my post regarding HDD Drive letters.
I have Win7 64bit up and running and I have a semi-transparent taskbar so I assume Aero is OK.
