Installing Win 7 on Dell 1525 Laptop

Ran the Upgrade Utility and says all should be OK.
The hard disk on the laptop is split in a main drive plus a recovery area.
Do I need anything from the recovery area?
How do I recover the extra recovery area?
Have installed 7 beta on desktop and it very good!
Can anybody help?
Thanks

Not if you're installing a new operating system. The recovery area will contain hardware drivers, apart from the files necessary to reset the machine back to its factory state.
You can recover the space occupied by the recovery files during the Windows 7 install routine. You'll be asked where you want to install Windows, and at that point you'll be able to select an option to merge the recovery partition into another one - usually the main partition.
