Windows 7 upgrade problems
I received my Win 7 Home premium DVD and tried to upgrade my Windows Vista Home premium. First of all I got the compatibility issues as under:
1. Acronis 10;
2.iTunes;
3.Microsoft Active Sync;
4.Windows Mobile Device 6.1
Solution
I uninstalled these programs and then proceeded with upgrade. During expanding installation files an error is thrown out with code no. 0x80070570. Which roughly is about a corrupted system file?
I stopped the process and checked my drive for errors. No errors found. I could not do fsc /scannow as my Vista is preinstalled and I have only recovery DVD’s.
I retried but every time the same error. The upgrade suited me well as I have lot of useful applications preinstalled.
I was left with no choice but to partition my HD and installed win7 on the new partition successfully.I still prefer the upgrade if a solution is found.
Mini OS
Microsoft rightly code named Win7 as mini OS. Windows mail and Windows Movie maker along with other applications are left out.

Windows Mail and Movie Maker aren't built in, but you can get Movie Maker and Windows Live Mail for free on-line. They've basically taken some stuff out of the pre-installation to make it optional instead.

Thanks for the response and suggestions. I have now upgraded to Win 7 successfuly and checked my emails using Virgin Media Webmail. My documents were also deleted in the process but got these restored from my backup flash drive.
Thanks again.
