Can any body tell me if a laptop with a Intel Core Duo Processor fitted can be made to work with a 64 bit O/S. If so how do you do it.

Core 2 Duo's are 64 bit processors, so just install in the same way as you would any other operating system. Check to make sure that your laptop has drivers available for W7 64 bit operating system before you do anything irreversible.
Obviously to get full benefit from 64bit you'll need 4gb or more RAM.

Be aware that some people have found the 64 bit version of Win 7 not quite as stable as the 32 bit version; have a trawl through this forum.
