Sony DPP-FP35 installation

I am trying to install this printer driver but every time I attach the USB cable Win 7 doesn't recognise the printer. I have tried installing in compatibility mode (although the driver is new enough not to need this) and as administrator but still the same result.

is it a hp printer if so look at their forum on windows 7 with various fix solutions which work for some and not others.
