"I thought Vista was rubbish, but also think W7 is brilliant!" - same here.
'Their view is "Quicker to open, and just more friendly and intuitive to use than either Vista or XP".' - very possibly why I like it too. G

I lent my neighbour a PC loaded with Windows 7. They have used Vista and XP for some time. However they are really enthusiastic about W7. Their view is "Quicker to open, and just more friendly and intuitive to use than either Vista or XP".
I used to be a strong supporter of XP but it feels outdated and clunky compared to W7RC. As soon as I feel assured that the 64bit version has settled down that will go on to most of my PC's.

I remember saying, on here, that the Vista GUI was the greatest improvement since the introduction of the ’Shell’ in MS-DOS 6.
Unfortunately, there are no superlatives left to describe Windows 7.

'wants to 'hook' as many potential purchasers as possible.'
I certainly took the bait. I thought Vista was good but Windows 7 - absolutely brilliant!

by popular demand. Microsoft has been pleasantly surprised by the huge positive response to the RC, and obviously wants to 'hook' as many potential purchasers as possible.
