Email with win7 IE8

I have tried live mail/hotmail but still prefer OE.
Why if it works change it!
I can go back to IE7/OE but what will you guys use now/when OE is no more?

I'm not sure I'm following some of this right, but it seems that people are either using Outlook if they have it or feeling they're stuck with a webmail option? There is a mail program for '7' (yes, still called Windows Live Mail) that runs like OE used to, but with an odd feel of Thunderbird about it - each email account has its own inbox/outbox/deleted items etc. As Mail was, it's like a new step in OE's new clothing range. OK, it does have to be downloaded seperately, for which you have to register for live.com account but you 're under no obligation to use that email address for the stand alone email program to run.

I actually like the PC based live mail program. Although I am a bit of an odd ball so maybe that's unsurprising.

What I was referring to was that the Win 7 "Windows Live Mail" was a webmail client, like google mail, only accessible from a browser. I saw hotmail when I first ran it and automatically assumed that was the only option, On trying it just now I was able to use it to access my ISP email account, but as you just said it does appears to have an odd feel to it. One that I'm not sure I like.

I apologise for any confusion I may have caused, I guess I should have paid attention to the saying about the word assume, lol.

No worries, my confusion arose from the fact that as well as the webmail client there is a desktop version that works like OE you can download for '7' too. You can use it to access any POP mail account and choose (that's the important bit) to use it to access your live.com email. OK, it's probably more of a webbased client dressed up to look like a desktop program, but it's still OE in new clothes again.
