I have to upgrade my CPU before I can put in Win7 and also the problem with Canon printer drivers, but can I grab a £49.99? licence before they run out and hold it to use later?
Does anyone see any snags, could put it on CD/DVD or memory stick to save.

Errrrr, a £49.99 license for what?
W7 is free at the moment, but only available for another few weeks and any copies currently active will expire next year.

In PCA news Microsoft are going to offer limited number of licences for W7 Home at £49.99 until they run out, but certainly before the launch date, estimate is end August for EU customers only.

Thanks Forums editor, but what about my original question, can I get one and keep it on DVD or stick until I use it or must it be downloaded straight away onto a PC?

you can hold onto it until you are ready to install.
