It sems as though we are not going to be treated to the same upgrade path as previous Windows allowed. A complete retail disc will be shipped. click here

As I said in my other thread Grab a cheap licence, I read on another source that it starts on July 15 here but $50 in USA/CAnada now.

Apparently there's another version, called Windows 7 Starter Edition, especially for netbooks.It's a cut down version that limits the number of open applications at any time to three.
I can see myself buying either a netbook or a tiny Atom CPU desktop next. If I do, I'll wait till I see one at reasonable price with Windows 7 installed, Ion (Atom + nVidia 9400 GPU), and 2GB of RAM, though.
