I'm trying to establish as to whether nstalling Windows 7 will provide a performance increase for my mum's laptop. The laptop is currently running Vista.

If anyone has installed 32bit RC on to a laptop using a Celeron M 1.6GHz processor + 1GB RAM, could you post back and let me know?

I would be great if you could run a couple of synthetic performance benchmarks. I can then compare these to the results of the laptop in question with Vista installed.
