I have my os XP on my C drv,on the second partition drv D which has the programmes on it, can I put 7 on drv D, or does it need another partition for it.
Have burnt the ISO to Disc,do I reboot with the disc in, or just put in as normal(no reboot).
Thanks as always,
Regards,
DP.

Create a new partition for Windows 7 and, as you don't have Vista installed as your main OS, you need to do a fresh install, rather than an upgrade.

and if the d drive has programes on it, doin a fresh install will wipe them
as you have made the disc jst put it in the computer as normal whilst your in XP and install it that way
this is after you have made the 3rd partition on your HDD
