You've installed the software, and judging from your responses in the installation thread that went smoothly. Now we would like to hear about any performance issues - has there been any apparent effect on the way your machine runs with Norton 2012 installed?

It looks like you are asking specific questions so i will keep it brief. Loaded on win vista 64 took over 3 hours to do a full scan with nothing else running - 8gb ram. Later loaded onto a win xp a full scan took over 2 hours - 1.25gb ram. In both cases Norton ,when not scanning, did not affect performance.

Not noticed any impact on performance during normal running. It seems very light on resources.

As this is a specific question my answer is that there have been no performance issues. I was running NIS 2011 before the test, and can see no difference in my computer's performance. I have had a couple of other issues arise which we can no doubt discuss later in the test.

Performance does not appear to be effected at all but I suppose I should have run a benchmark test before I installed and one after to get a better idea.
But in normal use no difference and when playing L4D2 frame rates are still the same.

No performance issues. One strange thing though, yesterday Windows Action Centre reported that antivirus and antispyware were not functioning, despite Norton saying everything was secure. Action Centre asked if I wanted to start them. Pressing 'Yes' made no difference and Windows continued to regard them as still not working. I presume it was a Windows fault, as today everything is working normally.

As all of the above. It runs very smoothly in the background doing what it should do without impacting on my computers performance, so far defineately not a resource hogger.
