Now that we have plenty of download information we'll move forward.
Could you set about creating a presentation, and feed back on how easy (or otherwise) it was to configure slides, add text/image/video content, and add new slides.
Please don't worry too much at this stage about the complexities of the various options - we'll come to that soon; what we need to know first of all is whether you found it straightforward to move from a blank canvas to a finished presentation with multiple slides.

"Finally worked out how to get several slides into the templates area"
Please do tell, the template bit either doesn't work, or I can't figure it out!

AH! just went back to it again. The template tab is far too discrete, I'd assumed that it was a non-available greyed out option. That is very bad visual design!!!

I wonder if everyone has realised that there's a whole range of different templates for different layouts if you click on the templates tab at bottom left, next to the Timeline tab."
As he FE asked yesterday at 13:48... I've just seen how to access them 20+ hours later... this is aimed at beginners...?

It's a 'bug' in the software, tullie. That's the main reason the developers run these beta testing trials, to help spot these problems. Having said that, that problem should have been spotted long before reaching this stage, it's a fairly basic operation in any software of this type.

Set up a very simple presentation with some text slides and image from the program set of images. All pretty easy. I did not find transition setup easy to understand but got it going.I have not found it as comfortable as Powerpoint or the old Lotus presentation system to use but it does look very simple and I guess when it is past the first beta stage and has Help available it will be better to use. I find it very memory consuming and it is sluggish on the pc I have had to use Pentium 4 2.67 1gb Ram.
I feel it probably struggle aginst programs such as powerpoint, and other low priced or free progs.

Last sentence above should have read 'I think it will struggle against Powerpoint and maybe even more so against lower priced and free programs.'
