NEW Norton 360 version 4.0 beta test

Welcome to all of you who are participating in the latest beta test of Norton 360 version 4.0

I hope you have now successfully downloaded and installed the software from the link I sent you via email.

Please post in this thread to let us know how the installation went - whether there were any glitches, etc. For instance, how did things go with those of you who are running Windows 7?

In this thread we just want to know about your installation experience, we'll get onto other matters in another thread shortly. Please do NOT start threads of your own at the moment - it will tend to confuse things.

was a breeze, like others have commented though, I was slightly surprised that I had to manually uninstall Version 3 of Norton before I could install V4.

Apart from that, everything went fine and no issues to report.

Just installed on brand new home built PC with a clean install of Windows. Install was quick and painless, as was update. No problems noticed so far.

First time i have been involved in the beta test, and years since I last used Norton, as I have tended to use AVG and similar free prodcuts. so very interested to see how this goes.

on the machine I'm using at the moment, which is an IBM ThinkPad. I don't think I've ever seen a software install run so smoothly, discretely, and rapidly. Very impressive indeed.

For years I was a Norton sceptic, but I have to say that this beta has entirely changed my mind - at least so far.
