Advent DT2412 This one I am assuming, it is not really a gaming PC to be honest. It has a rubbish graphics card and you can do a lot better for £800 elsewhere.
I am not sure what you mean by your second question. Are you asking about upgrading your sons current PC with the 660Ti or the new one either way it it will depend on the power supply each PC has as mogern graphics cards can be greedy for power. Also you would need to provide more details of yhe old PC as to whether upgrading the graphics card would be a good idea.

Again the PC is let down by the graphics card,it would be wasting your hard earned cash to buy a gaming PC that could not play next years games particularly well. So I have lo0ked around at pretty decent companies to see if I can find a decent gaming PC that will not needed upgrading almost as soon as you bought it.
Good all rounder. Chillblast Fusion Hurricane.
A little cheaper but fine. Chillblast Fusion Vector.
If I get time later I will look for others.

nothing wrong with overclocked cpu`s , as long as you have sufficient cooling . Any of the Custom Pc builders , such as Scan , PC specialist , chillblast etc make good balanced systems . As an example , http://3xs.scan.co.uk/ConfigureSystem.asp?SystemID=1385
